How excited was I when Rick Rubin called to ask me if I would be interested in mixing Neil’s new album? Answer: EXTREMELY!! I mixed this album in my former, very modest Santa Monica home studio (where I had previously mixed Diamond’s “12 Songs, Artist’s Cut” album). I’ll be forever grateful to Neil and Rick for trusting me with this beautiful album, and will never forget when it debuted at #1 on the album chart, and when my wife and I got to sit front row at Staples Center for Neil’s L.A. concert and hear these songs live (AND hear my bedroom mixes on the arena P.A. before the show!!)
